Scans from Esquire UK (December Issue)
“Every piece of him, every bone in his body aches. In his hands lies Holmes’ prized violin and all around him lie the remnants of the adventures of one Mister Sherlock Holmes and one Doctor John Watson.” (x)
“Slyvia Tietjens is one of the great characters in modern fiction. Um…and Christopher is one of the most puzzling in a certain way; you can’t begin to decide whether—whether he is sympathetic or unsympathetic, stubborn or charming, and so on.”
- Tom Stoppard (Screenwriter for Parade’s End)
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME PEOPLE?
Apparently he’s “chubby”….
omfg it’s BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH he’s practically perfection.
what the hell else do you people want?
1. he’s supposed to be, they put him in a fat suit and all that
2. he was disappointed he didn’t gain the weight
3. why does everyone talk about this like him actually gaining weight would be the worst thing in the world? he’d still be a great actor. he’d just be chubby.
If I remember correctly, they didn’t let him fill out his cheeks even more like he wanted. So, that was very much on purpose, which is beside the point. This complaint is still ridiculous.
